Picnic at Chafi
Escape to a secluded riverside picnic, thoughtfully organized just for you. We'll whisk you away on a scenic drive (around half and hour) to a tranquil spot by the river Kalsa, where nature’s sounds replace the rush of daily life.
Lunch will be packed according to your preferences and the car will be ready to leave by noon to ensure you catch the best time of day for the picnic.
Taste of Kumaon
Savour an authentic regional meal hosted in a nearby village home, where local flavours and family recipes take center stage. Enjoy a warm welcome and a unique glimpse into the community's culinary traditions—a true taste of our region, crafted just for you.
The host, Tara Devi, is known for cooking Kumaoni food with her soul. Tip: Make sure you have a light breakfast! Tara’s home is a five minute drive from the Verandah. Or you can go on foot through the pine forest on a narrow path till you reach the open flat terraces where she keeps a kitchen garden where trees laden with Gul-Gul (a huge local lemon) grow. Bring some Gul-Gul home and squeeze a dash of it into your favourite beverage.
Trekking
Discover the natural beauty of our region with guided treks, offering breath-taking views and serene landscapes. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or a casual explorer, our treks provide an unforgettable adventure into the heart of nature, just a short journey from the Verandah.
The treks are led by our majordomo - Krishna. As a local himself, Krishna knows all the scenic trails near our property and beyond that vary in difficulty. The day and time can be arranged according to your convenience.

Unwind with a cosy game night (or nights!), where our extensive board game collection offers fun for all ages. Choose from classics like Snakes and Ladders, Jenga, Pictionary, Ludo, and more—including a variety of card games.
